Melissa Gorga is retaliating by clapping in response to Jacqueline Laurita’s recent suggestion that she referred to Caroline Manzo as “too old and boring” for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Laurita made the comment.
Melissa responded to a fan’s question about Melissa’s relationship with Caroline by insisting that she has “always” loved her former castmate, despite Jacqueline’s Instagram tirade against her for bringing up her strained relationship with Teresa Giudice.
“In the Garden State, things are going down. Page Six posted the following on Instagram on January 19: “Ex-RHONJ star Jacqueline Laurita claims that current Real Housewife Melissa Gorga called Laurita’s sister-in-law and fellow show alum, 61-year-old [Caroline Manzo], “too old and boring” to be a cast member.”
Melissa also responded in the outlet’s comment section, “Not true- I love Caroline always have.”
Jacqueline accused Melissa of not only saying that Caroline was “too old and boring for the show” (Jacqueline stated that she is not), but also of being “really good at lying while keeping a straight face” in a series of Instagram comments posted a few days ago.
Jacqueline added, “She’s very good at manipulating people.”
Jacqueline also mentioned that she and her husband, Joe Gorga, frequently criticized Teresa during Melissa and Teresa’s ongoing drama on RHONJ.
She shared, “The whole time, Melissa and Joe were in my ear manipulating me, telling me secrets about Teresa, things Teresa would say and do to them, and things Teresa would say behind my back.” She also said that Melissa and Joe were telling her things about Teresa.
When the show started in May 2009, Caroline and Jacqueline were full-time cast members. They continued to play official roles on the show until the fifth season. Jacqueline moved to Las Vegas after appearing as a “friend” on season six and reprising her full-time position on season seven. Caroline went on to appear in her own spinoff, Manzo’d with Children, which ran for three seasons from 2014 to 2016.
Peacock made the announcement earlier this month that Caroline would be traveling to Morocco to film the fourth season of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip with Gretchen Rossi and Vicki Gunvalson of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Phaedra Parks and Eva Marcille of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Brandi Glanville and Camille Grammer of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Alex McCord, a former member of The Real Housewives of New York City.
The 13th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres on Bravo on February 7 at 9/8c.
